Day 2 - 23/09/17

BAD LAASPHE - BAD LAASPHE

After a lovely night's rest it is finally time to hit the roads! When leaving Hotel Jagdhof Glashütte we will head to the northwest through the neverendings forests and sloping hills of the 'Rothaarkamm'. Afer some sharp hair pin corners we will quickly arrive at the 'Biggesee', the biggest water reservoir of the Sauerland region, covering an area of over 876 hectares! When we have crossed this water reservoir multiple times we will continue our route to the small city of Halberbracht near Lennestadt. There we will enjoy a tasteful lunch at the traditional 'Eickhoffs Landgasthof', who do not only serve delicious food (kitchen approved by the Michelin guide) but also manage an extensive wine depot. After lunch we will continue our route to the east, where the dense pine forest will be exchanged for the widespread fields and countless farmlands, here and there interchanged by small traditional villages. When approaching the famous wintersport area of Winterberg we will continue our journey southwards in the direction of Bad Laasphe. On our way we will pass Bad Berleburg, where we will stretch our legs and enjoy the terrace at Schloß Berleburg. This 13th century building is currently one of the last large castles that is still privately inhabited. After this stop we will continue southwards back to the dense pine forests. When arriving in Bad Laasphe we will still continue southwards into the German province of Hessen. Eventually we will drive back into the Hochsauerland region and head back to our hotel Jagdhof Glashütte. After we have passed no less than 72 small villages and towns, a refreshing welcome drink and tasteful snacks are awaiting us at the hotel to look back together on this amazing second rally day. Thereafter the other restaurant of the hotel will spoil us with another delicious dinner. Many Michelin star chefs all over the world have cooked here in the past, including the chef of the famous Burj al Arab hotel in Dubai. You can bet on it that it will be a culinary surprise. After dinner there is time to have some drinks together at the hotel bar, where you can look back on all the amazing moments of that day. Finally it is time to take a well-deserved rest and prepare yourself for the next rally day...

Day 3 - 24/09/17

BAD LAASPHE - ATTENDORN

After a deep sleep and a delicious breakfast buffet (it is said one of the best of Germany), we are ready for our third and final day of the Hochsauerland Rally 2017. We will leave Bad Laasphe for good and head northeast to Bad Berleburg. After arriving at Bad Berleburg we will continue westwards and subsequently head north onto the old 'Jagdhauser Straße' through the dense pine tree forests. When this road ends in Schmallenberg we will continue over the widespread fields and farmlands towards Winterberg. Just before Winterberg we will continue northwards into the forest hills to Meschede. Shortly after we will arrive at the modern hotel Waldhaus Ohlenbach where we will enjoy lunch while having a stunning view over the entire valley. After this relaxing lunch we will continue our route to Meschede. Just before Meschede we will pass another big water reservoir, called the 'Hennesee'. When arriving in Meschede we will continue to Sündern through a dense nature reserve forest with quite some high differences and sharp corners. After arriving in Sündern we will stop at Capristo Exhaust Systems, a world-leading manufacturer of exclusive exhaust systems. You may already know this company from their close collaboration with Lamborghini and Ferrari. Here we will have guided tour in their new factory building and of course a demonstration of their (loud!) exhaust systems. we will Finally we will continue southwards along another water resevoir, the 'Sorpesee', to Attendorn which is famous for having one of the largest dripcaves of Germany. After arriving at Attendorn we will drive shortly upwards to reach Hotel Burg Schnellenberg, the finish location of this rally. This beautiful castle dates back to 1222 and provides a wonderful view over the 'Biggetal' valley. After parking our cars in the castle we will be welcomed for the closing drinks accompanied by some delicious castle snacks. Here we can look back at an amazing weekend in a special atmosphere. Also this rally we will arrange an optional closing dinner in one of the castle's private dining rooms as well as hotel stays for the ones that just can't get enough of it. Can we entice you with all this beauty...? Register now!
